The VIN Verification process is simply as follow:

​

• 1 .  Print the FLHSMV Form 82042 and fill out the Vehicle Information and Odometer Declaration section. Wait until your notary is present before signing the document.

  • Note: We offer printing services; we can print the document for you.

• 2 .  Your notary will come directly to your location and physically inspects your vehicle to ensure the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and odometer number is identical to the information that is recorded on the form. 

​

• 3 .  Your notary will verify your identity using a valid form of ID that you will provide.

​

• 4 .  Your notary will witness you sign the Affidavit portion of the Form 82042. 

​

• 5 .  Your notary will administers an oath/affirmation to complete the Affidavit portion of the Form 82042.

After your Form 82042 gets notarized, the VIN Verification process is complete!
