POLICY AND TERMS OF SERVICE

Business Type:

Inked Notary Services is a “mobile only” business model; we do not maintain an office location for signings.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

  • Mobile Services :  6am - 9pm / On-Call

  • Remote/Online:  24-Hours

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • We reserve the right to cancel any transaction or order at any time and at our sole discretion.  If we exercise this right of cancellation, you will receive a full refund.  Any original documents in our possession will be returned to you.

  • A Notary Public may refuse to notarize a signature if:

    1. The signer is not present

    2. Signer does not satisfy ID requirement

    3. Signer is not alert and aware

    4. If there is any form of suspicious activity 

 

  • I understand that last minute changes in your schedule may be unavoidable and I will try to accommodate those changes as best I can. Please understand that when I make an appointment I am setting aside enough time to do my best work and that each appointment is for only one client. I do not overbook expecting some of my clients to not show for their appointments. Therefore, a broken appointment results in wasted time for both of us, adding to the cost of providing service for all of my clients. To be fair to everyone involved, if you cancel, no-show, or are unprepared for a scheduled appointment without calling/emailing at least 1 hour prior to scheduled appointment, you will be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee. You will be invoiced for the missed appointment on the same day.  Payment of invoice is expected upon receipt.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

PAYMENT & FEES POLICY:

  • Cost per stamp/signature is capped by the State of Florida.​

  • A travel fee is charged in addition to cost per stamp/signature;

  • A convenience fee, for waiting time beyond 15 minutes, may apply if documents and/or persons signing the documents are not ready at the time of appointment.

Please Note:

  • Appointments cannot be held without payment in advance. (Invoice must be paid prior to service)

  • travel fee is non-refundable after travel has commenced, or if customer cancels appointment less than 1-hour before the scheduled time.

  • Other than for technical issues or mistakes on our part, payment on your invoice is final, and is non-refundable for any reason.

REFUND POLICY

  • A full refund or re-do will be provided in the event of technical issues or mistakes on our part. (RON)

  • If a notarization appointment is cancelled for any reason, the prescribed state fee, will be refunded.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • After you submit a request for service, Inked Notary Services will send a confirmation email along with an invoice.

  • Service update(s) will be sent via emails, text messages, or both for certain requested services. 

  • Have questions or issues with our service, don't hesitate to call (352)530-1361 to speak directly with a representative.

SAFETY/SECURITY

  • Online payments are processed securely using PayPal, Square, and Zelle..

  • We take great care in protecting your privacy at all time.

FOR APPOINTMENTS:

  • All signers must be present! NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • PLEASE HAVE VALID PHOTO ID. (Military I.D., Drivers License, US Passport, etc.)

    • All signers and/or witnesses should have valid IDs​

  • If you don't have any witness for your signing, please inform us.​

  • All signers need to be alert and aware.

  • All signers should be familiar with the contents of the document(s).

  • Document(s) should be already prepared, with only the signature lines left blank, until we arrive. 

  • The Notary Public reserves the right to refuse notarization if proper identification can not be established.

APOSTILLES:

  • Our apostille services are customized to your specific needs, and work begins as soon as your invoice is paid.  Therefore, your invoice is non-refundable for any reason other than for mistakes made by us.

Time Frame for "RUSH" Service:
  • The turnaround time for RUSH apostille processing by the Florida Department of State is typically 2-3 business days.

We cannot guarantee time frames, as there are parts of the process outside of our control.  We offer a 2 business days service starting from the time we receive your paper documents or complete an online notarization of the documents for you. If paper documents are received after 12pm eastern time, or your online notarization is completed after 2pm eastern time, our 2-3 business day service begins on the following business day.

Note: To ensure the fastest possible handling time, we recommend choosing FedEx First Overnight when sending us paper documents. With this, we should receive your documents by the next morning.

**Time Frame for STANDARD Service
  • The turnaround time for standard apostille processing by the Florida Department of State is typically around twenty business days.  We cannot guarantee time frames, as there are parts of the process outside of our control.

Errors Made by Government Agencies:
  • We are not responsible for errors made by the Florida Department of State, the U.S. Department of State, or any foreign embassies, as the service they provide is beyond our control. 

​

Issues with FedEx, DHL, UPS, or USPS
  • We are not responsible for unforeseen errors, delays, and/or loss caused by FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, or any other third parties that may become involved, as the service they provide is beyond our control. However, we will work hard to resolve any issues that may arise, but you are using all services at your own risk.

DHL Delay Notice
  • If you chose DHL as your return carrier, expect an extra day of processing time due to DHL’s 2pm eastern cutoff for receiving shipments.  You have the option of using FedEx International.
